World Delirium Day 2017

ADA reflects on

World Delirium Day 2017

Actions to take WDAD 2017
  • Commit to using the term 'delirium'
  • Screen your patients for delirium
  • Listen to patient and family storiesabout the experience of delirium
  • Engage your leadership in a discussion of Delirium
  • Educate health professionals about delirium

The inaugural World Delirium Day aims to raise delirium awareness and inspire positive action among health professionals and the community in general.

By increased awareness of delirium we will help to improve rates of diagnosis and thus improve access to treatment. This will also help people with delirium and their families have better information.

Three steps to being aware on March 15, 2017:

  1. Individually: Increase your delirium knowledge;
  2. Locally: Fly the flag in your local healthcare environment and get people thinking and talking about delirium; &
  3. Globally: Connect with other delirium knowledge champions on the iDelirium web and social media sites.
